As fearless fighter pilot Lord Hyperion, embark on a retro-style space shoot-em-up bullet hell that features an insane mode (a la Halo CE's Legendary difficulty).

Featuring an original chiptune soundtrack! 🎧

This game is a passion project of mine, and will receive updates to make it mo' better. Started from a Gamedev.TV tutorial and took on a life of its own...

Love it? Hate it? I want to hear your candid feedback :)

And of course let me know if you find any dang bugs.

It's a fun game. There are some issues, but they didn't affect my ability to complete the game.

So, the first is that the player movement has inertia, which makes it more difficult to be precise. This might just be personal preference, but I prefer space shooters without it.

Collisions can lag the game. This isn't a big deal, as they don't happen frequently. Oh, and the game didn't exit properly for me.

There don't seem to be many invincibility frames. They're not necessary, but I like having them.

Controller is recommended for a reason. The keyboard controls are not very good - I beat the game using them, but they feel very awkward to use.

Other than that, it's a fun experience, albeit a short one. It would have been nice to see more levels, but it feels a little greedy to suggest something like that for what is probably someone's first released game.

Good work, commander! I look forward to seeing your next game.

Hey, thanks for trying out the game, and for the quality feedback! I 100% agree that a lot of improvements can be made. Good note on the invincibility frames. I think movement is more of a personal preference but I see your point - compared to other games with snappy movement this feels a bit sluggish.

I do want to release a sequel with more levels, weapons, enemy variants, and diverse biomes in the near future hopefully! I like the space genre a lot.
